Brian Cashdollar will enter his 21st season at Manchester University in the fall of 2019.  Coach Cashdollar serves as MU’s Director of Cross Country and Track and Field. 

Since arriving in North Manchester in 1999, Cashdollar has played an instrumental role in developing the Spartan cross country and track and field programs into consistent conference title contenders.

Under Cashdollar’s guidance, the Manchester University cross country programs have won a combined 13 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships.  The men claimed five straight HCAC titles from 2009-2013 and won their most recent conference championship in 2016.  Four teams have qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships during Cashdollar’s tenure (2009, 2011-13).  The women have won three of the last four HCAC titles, including the 2018 HCAC championship, and won four straight championships from 2009-2012.  Brian has coached six individuals who have qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships.

At the helm of the track and field programs, Cashdollar has led the Spartans to a combined five HCAC titles.  The women earned HCAC Outdoor Championships in 2009, 2015, 2016, and 2017.  MU’s women also captured an indoor conference title in 2016.  The men have finished in the top three at the HCAC Championships 10 times during Cashdollar’s tenure.  Six teams have qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships under Cashdollar’s guidance (Men Indoor, 2009; Men Outdoor, 2009-10; Women Indoor, 2014-15; Women Outdoor, 2010, 2015).

Cashdollar was named the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2011 and has garnered a total of 18 HCAC Coach of the Year of Awards.  He has coached 32 all-region athletes in cross country, including seven conference MVPs and six conference Freshman of the Year.  During Brian’s tenure, 144 total Spartans have garnered All-HCAC or Honorable Mention All-HCAC honors.  On the track, Cashdollar’s programs have produced six all-region athletes in track and field, including 2010 Great Lakes Region Field Athlete of the Year John Kimmel, who was also a three-time All-American and National Champion, 14 HCAC MVPs, 121 HCAC event champions, 143 All-HCAC athletes and the “NCAA Program of the Year” in 2010.  In 2014, Bridgette Rowe was named the HCAC Female Athlete of the Year.  Cashdollar has produced 16 Academic All-American teams and 36 athletes have garnered Academic All-American honors.

Brian has both a Level 1 Certification and Strength and Condition Certification from the USTFCCCA. 

A four-year letter winner and two-time captain for the track and field team at Ball State University, Cashdollar graduated with a degree in sports administration in 1999.  He went on to receive his master's degree in school administration from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) in 2002.  He and his wife, Kim, reside in North Manchester with their daughters, Kambree and Ayla.
