Volleyball Drops Home Opener to Kalamazoo

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – Host Manchester University dropped a three-set match to visiting Kalamazoo on Wednesday evening Stauffer-Wolfe Arena. 

The Hornets narrowly edged the Spartans, 26-24, in the first set to start the match.  Kalamazoo took sets two and three by final tallies of 25-16 and 25-13.

Madi Goodman paced the Hornets with 10 kills and Grace Kraft added 24 assists.

The Spartans were led by Lauren Gandhi's (Westfield, Ind./Guerin Catholic) 22 assists and Halle Planck's (Gas City, Ind./Mississinewa) 11 kills.

Kalamazoo improved to 5-0 on the young season.  MU stands 1-3.  The Spartans will be on the road this Saturday September 7 at North Park (Ill.).
