Junior right side hitter Haley Duncan (Albion, Ind.), due to a run of six straight matches in which she's tallied 10-or-more kills, stands sixth in kills per set (2.89); sophomore middle hitter Riley Patterson (Walkerton, Ind.) has the eighth-best attack percentage (.273); sophomore defensive specialist/libero Anna Marie Lawrie (Indianapolis, Ind.) is ninth in digs per set (3.97); freshman setter Lauren Gandhi (Westfield, Ind.) sits ninth in assists per game (5.42); and Gandhi and senior outside hitter Ally Roskos (Elkhart, Ind.) are three-four in service aces per set at .5 and .49 … The Spartans' current win streak was helped along by a sweep of Ohio University at Chillicothe and the University of Cincinnati at Clermont Oct. 14. A quartet consisting of Patterson; junior middle hitter Emma Voelker (North Bend, Ohio); junior middle hitter Hannah Tevis (Royal Center, Ind.); and Duncan made life difficult for OU-Chillicothe. Duncan drilled 10 kills with only two errors in 22 attempts for a .364 attack percentage; Tevis was just as active with seven kills, just one error, and a .353 clip; Voelker was nearly perfect with six kills in seven attempts for an astronomical .857 percentage; and Patterson hit at .429 with three kills and no errors in seven chances. Duncan and Tevis were just as tough on the defensive end, each totaling three blocks. Match two saw more of the same. Duncan rattled 17 kills at UC-Clermont; Tevis came back high with 12 kills and a .435 attack percentage; and sophomore outside hitter Emma DeWitt (Brookston, Ind.) added 11 kills.
