NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Four Spartans wound up in kill double digits, sparking a pivotal five-set Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference win over Mt. St. Joseph University Saturday, Oct. 16.

Sophomore middle hitter Hannah Tevis (Royal Center, Ind.) recorded a big effort with 13 kills and a .333 attack percentage, and sophomore outside hitter Farren Miller (Lebanon, Ind.) tallied 10 kills.

Coach Bryndon Paulsen's squad needed every bit of those numbers. After dropping a 25-22 final in the first set, the Black and Gold brought their home crowd to its feet with 25-23, 25-21 decisions. However, the visitors forced a fifth set decider after claiming a 28-26 fourth set marathon.
