Marlowe steps down from head volleyball post

NORTH MANCHESTER, IN. – Manchester University Director of Athletics Rick Espeset has announced that head volleyball coach Kendra Marlowe is resigning from her position, effective at the end of the 2013-14 academic year.

"We greatly appreciate the hard work and dedication that Coach Marlowe gave to Spartans' volleyball," Espeset said. "She has left a positive impact on many student-athletes during her tenure."

Marlowe, who finished with a 62-114 mark at the helm of the Black and Gold, led MU to three 10-plus-win seasons. The high water mark was in 2008-09 when the squad finished 18-15, while off-the-court success was reached, too, with the program being awarded the prestigious American Volleyball Coaches Association's team academic award in 2010-11 and 2011-12.

Espeset noted that a national search for a successor will be held.
