Manchester University begins a run of four consecutive matches inside Stauffer-Wolfe Arena Saturday, Oct. 19.

Match specifics: The triangular with Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Earlham College and non-conference opponent Oberlin College of Ohio starts at 12 p.m. with the Spartans-Quakers battle. Spartan Shorts: MU opened its week with a three-set loss to league-leading Defiance College of Ohio Oct. 16. Freshman outside hitter Courtney Chowning (Yorktown, Ind.) and sophomore middle hitter Morgan Pavelka (Noblesville, Ind.) led the offense with seven kills each ... The sophomore trio of outside hitter Sarah Pruden (Noblesville, Ind.), middle hitter Devin Clark (Madison, Ind.) and setter Mikayla Munn (Elkhart, Ind.) grace the top five of the HCAC's current statistics report. Pruden remains fifth in kills per set (3.13), while Clark has risen to third in blocks per set (.86), and Munn is fifth in assists per set (6.27) … Saturday's meeting with Earlham is the second this season. Manchester University took a four-set win at Richmond Sept. 20. The match against Oberlin marks the Spartans' third against the North Coast Athletic Conference. Denison University and Ohio Wesleyan University each claimed three-set wins earlier this season.

Bluffton Match: The 2013 HCAC schedule resumes Wednesday, Oct. 23, as Bluffton University of Ohio comes to North Manchester for a 7 p.m. start.
