Manchester University placed four individuals and its 2012-13 women's tennis squad on the Division III Intercollegiate Tennis Association's academic awards list, released July 18.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any program that has a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman thorough senior year).
MU was one of 78 institutions honored as an All-Academic team. The quartet of 2013 graduate Alyssa Dibley (Elkhart, Ind.), rising seniors Amanda Keating (Lafayette, Ind.) and Brandy Leeper (Bremen, Ind.) and 2012-13 fall schedule team member Ashley McClintic (Wakarusa, Ind.) each garnered Scholar-Athlete status.
