GAMBIER, OHIO – For a third time in 2017-18, Manchester University freshman women's swimmer Shelby Kell (Charlottesville, Ind.) rearranged the record board at Strauss-Peabody Aquatic Center Saturday, Feb. 24.
Kell clocked a 57.43-second effort in the 100-yard freestyle at Kenyon College's Fast Chance meet. The mark topped senior Emily Clark's (Peru, Ind.) former school standard of 57.52 set at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships a year ago.
Junior men's diver Anjel Clemente (Rensselaer, Ind.) added a second highlight for the group that Coach Mike Kroll and his staff brought to the Steen Aquatic Center. He scored 420.17 points in the one-meter competition, good for third place.
Clemente continues the Black and Gold's campaign at the 2018 NCAA Division III Central Region Diving Championships Friday, March 2.
