Women’s Soccer Falls Just Short at Franklin

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Manchester University women's soccer team dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision at Franklin College on Wednesday.

Both teams remained scoreless in Wednesday's contest until the 68th minute when Franklin broke into the scoring column. 

For the Spartans, both Jayden Murray (Delphi, Ind./Rossville Consolidated) and Sydnee Jensen (Casper, Wyo./Kelly Walsh) put a shot on goal.

Goalie Gabrielle Carreon (Marion, Ind./Canterbury School) saved 11 shots, brining her league-leading total to 130 this season.

Manchester will return to action on Saturday October 19.  The Spartans will host Mount St. Joseph at Good Field at 1 p.m. Saturday's match will also be Senior Day.
