LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Manchester University women's soccer team fell in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference this weekend at Transylvania. The Pioneers won Saturday's contest by a final score of 6-1.
Manchester's lone goal of the afternoon came from sophomore Jayden Murray (Delphi, Ind./Rossville Consolidated) in the 23rd minute, assisted by Bridget Nash (Carmel, Ind./Bishop Chatard). Murray's goal was the first in her Manchester career. It was also Nash's first assist on the season.
Transylvania was led by the duo of Abby Baker and Meron Roach. Baker totaled two goals and two assists, while Roach added two goals of her own and one assist.
Manchester will play at Franklin College on Wednesday October 16. Kickoff against the Grizzlies is set for 7 p.m. at Faught Stadium.
