Women’s Soccer Falls on the Road to IU-Kokomo

KOKOMO, Ind. – The Manchester University women's soccer team dropped a non-conference, road contest on Saturday September 14 at Indiana-Kokomo.  The host Cougars won by a final score of 3-0.

Manchester hung tough with the host Cougars through the first 70 minutes of Wednesday's game.  IU-Kokomo then struck for three goals in three minutes to rally past Manchester.

The Spartans fired 15 shots on Saturday afternoon and placed six of those shots on goal.  Alexandra Parr (Russiaville, Ind./Western) led Manchester University with five shots, three of which were on goal.  Senior Katie Green (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) and sophomore Jayden Murray (Delphi, Ind./Rossville Consolidated) both attempted four shots.

Gabrielle Carreon (Marion, Ind./Canterbury School) made eight stops in goal.

Manchester (0-4) will host St. Mary's (Ind.) on Wednesday September 18 at 4 pm at Good Field.
