TIFFIN, OHIO – The junior midfield tandem of Jenny Pudlo (Crown Point, Ind.) and Courtney Hersick (Plymouth, Ind.) each tallied two shot attempts Sept. 7, leading Manchester University on its road trip to Heidelberg University.
MU, dipping to 0-3 with a 6-0 loss at the hands of the Student Princesses, did produce some defensive highlights. They compiled 13 saves, in the midst of a 34-5 shots advantage for Heidelberg, between the goalkeeping trio of sophomores Cami Holford (Valparaiso, Ind.) and Caroline Smith (Mason, Ohio) and junior Megan Erwin (Attica, Ind.).
The Black and Gold, continuing a span in which they play three of their next four against Ohio Athletic Conference members, open their home schedule Saturday, Sept. 10. Wilmington College visits Good Field at the Spartan Soccer Complex for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
