Manchester University was represented on the 2014 all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer honor teams, released earlier this week.
The Spartans placed four of its team members on the top two teams. Senior forward Katelyn Barta (Griffith, Ind.) gained first team accolades for the third time in her collegiate career after compiling seven goals, six assists, 20 points and 51 shot attempts. Her shot attempt total was fifth-highest in the HCAC.
Senior goalkeeper Emily Willmann (Montpelier, Ind.) and the junior duo of midfielder Bridgette Rowe (La Quinta, Calif.) and defender Allison Rowe (La Quinta, Calif.) earned second team honors. Willmann, whose 119 saves were third-highest in the HCAC, gained her fourth all-conference award and third second team recognition, while Allison Rowe became a three-time second team selection. Bridgette Rowe, who compiled a team-best nine goals and four game-winning scores, was tabbed all-conference for the first time.
Senior midfielder Sofie Tzortzinis (Ann Arbor, Mich.) took a spot on the honorable mention team for her second all-HCAC recognition after picking up second team honors following her junior season.Senior defender Breanna McLane (Westville, Ind.) was the squad's sportsmanship team selection.
