2014 season concludes in HCACs

A pair of goals in each half ended Manchester University's appearance in the 2014 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer championships Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Top-seeded Hanover moved into the final Saturday, Nov. 8, with a 4-0 victory over the fourth-seeded Spartans. MU ended the season at 8-10-1 after earning their third successive trip to the HCAC tourney, the longest streak for the program since 2002-08.

Senior goalkeeper Emily Willmann (Montpelier, Ind.) added to her career record for saves with 10 during a 22-11 shots advantage for the Panthers. The Black and Gold offense, led by junior midfielder Bridgette Rowe (La Quinta, Calif.) with three overall attempts and two shots on goal, did get some strikes on HC's end of the field, but Karlee VanDeWeele kept her sheet clean with four saves.
