Foes from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and the Ohio Athletic Conference of NCAA Division III visit Spartan Field Saturday, Sept. 27. Manchester University's men face off against Illinois Tech of the USCAA. The Spartans' women's squad concludes a run of three straight contests versus the OAC by taking on Wilmington College.

Match specifics: Kickoff times are 1 p.m. for the women and 3 p.m. for the men … A special ceremony recognizing women's soccer career scoring leader Missy (King) Jensen '06 is planned at halftime of the women's contest.

Spartan Shorts: Women – MU (2-5) opened their OAC stretch with a 4-0 win over Heidelberg University Sept. 17 and followed with a hard-fought 2-1 loss to Otterbein College Sept. 20 … The midfielder duo of junior Bridgette Rowe (La Quinta, Calif.) and sophomore Allison Moore (Richmond, Ind.) top the scoring chart through seven matches with two goals each. Senior forward Katelyn Barta (Griffith, Ind.) joins them in the points' lead (four) behind a goal and team-leading two assists … Senior goalkeeper Emily Willmann (Montpelier, Ind.) finds herself in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's top five saves-wise. Her season total of 49 is tied for third-most. Her numbers have also earned recognition on the NCAA Division III national lists, as she's in the top 60 of total saves (No. 56) and within the top 80 in saves per match (No. 78 – seven) through Sept. 21 action.

The Week Ahead: MU's women close out their regular season non-conference schedule Tuesday, Sept. 30, with a match at Wittenberg University of Ohio. Both the men and women open HCAC action Saturday, Oct. 4, at Transylvania University of Kentucky.
