Junior midfielder Katelyn Barta (Griffith, Ind.) is within the top five in goals (six), assists (four), points (16) and shots (20) which includes being tied for the assists lead. Fellow junior midfielder Sofie Tzortzinis (Ann Arbor, Mich.) is also part of the top five in assists (two). Junior goalkeeper Emily Willmann (Montpelier, Ind.) has just as impressive a status as Barta, ranking the same in saves (56), saves percentage (86.2) and goals-against average (1.32). Her saves total leads the league ... Barta and Willmann were each among the top 20 nationally on the NCAA Division III statistics report for games played through Sept. 15. Barta was 16th in total assists and 18th in total points, and Willmann was eighth in total saves … After Wednesday's match, the Spartans embark on a three-date road trip. They don't return to their home pitch until the 2013 HCAC opener against Hanover Saturday, Oct. 5, which part of Manchester University's Homecoming festivities.
