NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – In a game where Manchester University kept perennial Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference power Transylvania University within arm's reach throughout most of the 40 minutes at Stauffer-Wolfe Arena, difficulties from the field and beyond the arc kept them from closing further Saturday, Feb. 3.

Despite hitting at just over 26 percent from the field overall and only at 22.2 percent from three-point range, Coach Josh Dzurick's crew battled tooth and nail with the visiting Pioneers. MU (6-15 overall, 5-9 HCAC) trailed by as little nine in the final minute of the third period, but a made three-pointer before the quarter buzzer sparked a 10-0 roll that propelled TU to a 60-45 decision.

Sophomore guard Haley Farris (Sharpsville, Ind.) was just a rebound separated from a double-double, tallying 14 points, fueled by a seven-of-seven effort at the charity stripe, and nine boards. Junior guard Faith-Alexis Graham (Indianapolis, Ind.) was next in line with 11 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Manchester University remains part of a four-way tie for sixth place on the loop standings with four games to play. They continue a two-game home set Wednesday, Feb. 7, as Anderson University visits for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
