Manchester University takes to the road to Lexington, Ky., for a men's and women's doubleheader against Transylvania University Saturday, Jan. 11.

At 4-1, they are tied with Franklin in second after the Grizzlies averted a huge Black and Gold comeback to win 69-58 at North Manchester. Transylvania, the defending champions, is 5-0, while Bluffton University of Ohio, Hanover College and Rose-Hulman are close behind at 3-2 … The Spartans' overall record is 7-5 … The trio of junior guard Jocelyn Hamilton (Columbus, Ind.), senior forward Erynn Meiklejohn (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and sophomore guard Katie Arterburn (Indianapolis, Ind.) are in the conference's statistical top 10. Hamilton, due to a run of 12 straight multiple-assist outings, is the HCAC leader at six per game. Meiklejohn is sixth in blocked shots, averaging 1.3 per game, and Arterburn's three-point field goal accuracy is seventh-best at 37.7 … Arterburn's 16 points topped four Spartan players in double figures against FC. It was her fifth double-figure and fifth multiple three-point game of the season.
