Senior women's basketball forward Erynn Meiklejohn (Fort Wayne, Ind.) represented Manchester University on the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's Player of the Week announcement Monday, Dec. 16.
Meiklejohn scored 26 points in the Spartans' 61-42 win over Rose-Hulman Dec. 14 setting a new single-game career high. She shot nine-for-10 from the field and six-for-six from the free throw line and also added a pair of rebounds, three steals, and a block to her stat line. Her effort, the fifth 20-points-or-more outing of her career, was the highest single-game total for a Black and Gold player since the 2008-09 campaign.
Manchester improved to 3-0 in league play, with the win, and kept pace with defending league champion Transylvania University atop the HCAC standings. MU returns to action this evening with a 7 p.m. tip-off against in-state non-conference rival Trine University at Stauffer-Wolfe Arena.
