Men’s Indoor Track & Field Competes at Friday Night Spikes

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Manchester University men's indoor track team opened the 2019 season at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's "Friday Night Spikes Opener."

The Spartans went toe-to-toe with Rose-Hulman, Hanover and Washington (Mo.).

Manchester earned 7 team points on the evening.  The Washington (Mo.) Bears led Friday's field with 73 points.  Rose-Hulman finished with 64 points and Hanover earned 17 points.

Point scoring performances for Manchester included: 

  • Austin Roberts highlighted the night for the men's track team, winning the long jump with a top leap of 6.43 meters.  Zarcariaous Presha also earned a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 6.08 meters.
  • Harrison Hollis earned a fourth-place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.23.

The men will head to at Trine on Saturday January 19.
