STEVENS POINT, IND. – Senior Drew Foster (Seymour, Ind.) and sophomore Austin Roberts (Indianapolis, Ind.) headlined Manchester University's day at UW-Stevens Point's last chance national-qualifying meet Saturday, March 3.
Roberts leapt 21 feet, five and a quarter inches to place seventh in the long jump. It was a new career-best and marked the sixth time this season he's finished in the top eight. Foster tossed the 20-pound weight 51 feet, five and a half inches to set a new program record as part of a 13th-place outing.
On the track, freshman Travis Murr (Franklin, Ind.) and senior Harrison Hollis (Lebanon, Ind.) competed in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes, respectively, Murr's 7.05-second time in the preliminaries qualified him for the final, while Hollis ran to a 23.31-second time to place 15th.
