Spartan Shorts: Coach Brian Cashdollar and his staff have set the following line-up for the northern trek. Sophomore distance runner Hannah Wappes (Columbia City, Ind.); junior sprinter Dasia Beck (Indianapolis, Ind.) and senior jumps specialist Paige Keller (Greenville, Ohio) represent the women's team, while freshman sprinter Travis Murr (Franklin, Ind.); senior sprinter Harrison Hollis (Lebanon, Ind.); senior thrower Drew Foster (Seymour, Ind.); and sophomore jumps specialist Austin Roberts (Indianapolis, Ind.) are scheduled to compete for the men. Wappes will run the 800 and mile; Beck will be in the 60, and Keller will pole vault for the women's events. The men's events feature Murr in the 60; Hollis in 60 and 200; Foster in the weight throw; and Roberts in the long jump … Going into the final weekend of national qualifying attempts, Murr is just outside the top 50 in the 60, sitting No. 64 with a season-best time of 7.02 seconds, and Wappes is in similar territory in the 800, standing No. 68 due to a top 2018 clocking of 2:17.39 … The NCAA Division III national meet field is announced early next week. If no Spartans qualify, they break from competition until the outdoor season begins Saturday, March 31, at Hanover College's Invitational.
