NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference released its men's tennis preseason coaches' poll this afternoon. The Manchester University Spartans were picked to finish sixth.
Rose-Hulman was once again picked as the favorites and led Friday's poll with 89 points. Earlham finished a close second with 81 points. Hanover College was picked to finish third in 2019, earning 71 points. Both Transylvania and Franklin College tied for fourth-place with 53 points. Manchester earned 50 points in Friday's poll. Rounding out the preseason coaches' poll was Anderson, Defiance and Mount St. Joseph.
Manchester went 1-2 in a shortened fall season, picking up a 5-4 win over Franklin College. The spring schedule will start on March 9 with a trip to Alma. HCAC play will begin on March 30 at home against Transylvania.
