NORHT MANCHESTER, Ind. – Senior Manchester University diver Anjel Clemente (Rensselaer, Ind. / Rensselaer) earned Honorable Mention Scholar All-America recognition from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America on Tuesday.
To qualify individually for CSCAA Scholar All-America honors, students must have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and competed at their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
Honorable Mention status is awarded to those students, such as Clemente, that have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at an NCAA Regional or Zone Diving qualifier. Clemente placed 15th at the NCAA Diving Regional following a 367.60 point performance in the 1-meter dive. He placed fourth at the 2019 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships in the 1-meter dive with a score of 445.60.
Manchester joins Franklin, who had four individuals honored by the CSCAA, as the only two HCAC schools represented on the CSCAA individual Scholar All-America listing.
