CHICAGO, ILL. – If the 2017-18 campaign is any indication, the future looks bright for Manchester University junior Anjel Clemente (Rensselaer, Ind.).
Competing in a field of 27 of the NCAA Division III Central Region's best divers, the Black and Gold standout added to a year in which he placed fourth at the inaugural Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships and set new school standards in all areas of the one-meter discipline by registering 330.30 points to place less than 35 points shy of the top 20 at the University of Chicago's Myers-McLoraine Pool. Clemente's performance spotlighted a third regional qualification for the program in four seasons combined for Coach Mike Kroll's men's and women's programs.
Lake Forest College of Illinois' Heath Ogawa cruised to the top spot with a 523.9-point effort, besting the remaining field by better than 28 points.
