KANSAS CITY, MO. - Manchester University men's soccer sophomore forward Josh Gonzalez added to a solid week of honors with the announcement of the United Soccer Coaches' national men's and women's Players of the Week for NCAA Divisions I, II and III and the National Junior College Athletic Association Tuesday, Sept. 11.
The Portage, Ind., native, who was also tabbed the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's offensive Player of the Week just a few hours before, was selected as the Division III men's Player of the Week that afternoon. A quick look at the Spartans' top scorer's resume from last week bears out his accolades, as Gonzalez registered four goals and three assists for 11 points, tallied the game-winning score in each of the victories for head coach Corey Brueggeman's program at the 2018 Raven-Spartan Classic and did all of that with 17 total strikes and 13 shots on frame as part of his statistics line.
