CINCINNATI, OHIO – Manchester University's hard-charging theme down the stretch in the 2017 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference season continued Saturday, Oct. 21.

Senior goalkeeper Brady Forman (Hastings, Mich.) and the granite-like defense in front of him continued to impress, silencing Mt. St. Joseph University's offense over 90 minutes to highlight a 2-0 victory at Schueler Field. Forman's 12th opposition blanking of his collegiate career, spotlighted by six saves, supported goals off the feet of junior midfielder Samuel Tetteh-Quarshie (Accra, Ghana) and senior defender/midfielder/forward Tod Oram (Crown Point, Ind.).

Tetteh-Quarshie, registering his first overall score and game-winning strike of the year in the 38th minute, helped Coach Corey Brueggeman's side get around a solid defensive effort from the Lions that only allowed four total shot attempts in the first 45 minutes. Oram, winding up a red-hot three-goal week, added insurance in the 53rd minute, notching his fifth successful offensive strike on a penalty kick.

The victory moved MU (8-8 overall, 4-3 HCAC) into a tie with Anderson University for fourth on the league standings. A road trip to Bluffton University is next on their schedule Wednesday, Oct. 25. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m.
