ANDERSON, IND. – The freshman goalkeeping tandem of Jared Hallal (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Brady Forman (Hastings, Mich.) combined for three saves, spotlighting Manchester University's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match at Anderson University Wednesday, Oct. 22.
Hallal knocked away two Ravens' shot attempts in the midst of a 10-3 edge for the home side over the opening 45 minutes. However, AU (9-6-1 overall, 3-2-1 HCAC) got two other tries into the back of the Black and Gold's net to give them a 2-0 halftime lead. Forman came on in the second stanza and picked up a save and surrendered just one score against a 5-4 shots edge for the home team which led to a 3-0 final.
The Spartans (5-10 overall, 1-5 HCAC) got a pair of shot tries from the freshman duo of forward Travis Richardson (Elizabethtown, Ky.) and defender Tod Oram (Crown Point, Ind.). They also accounted for three of the four total efforts at the Ravens' goal.
MU remains on the road in conference play Saturday, Oct. 25. Kickoff at Earlham College is 3:30 p.m.
