SEYMOUR, IND. – A final round event-par 72 from senior Quinton Flora (Huntington, Ind.) led Manchester University over the two-day Hanover College Invitational Saturday and Sunday, April 11 and 12.
Flora's 36-hole 149 placed him in a tie for fifth individually. His second-day score was the second-lowest in the tourney field.
Junior Dylan Burns (Hamilton, Ind.), after recording the Spartans' first round low score of 76 Saturday at Shadowood Golf Course, placed in the top 30 with a 157. Manchester University's 633 placed them eighth and was just eight strokes shy of the top seven.
MU's women's squad also resumed its spring calendar Friday and Saturday, April 10 and 11. The freshman duo of Kaitlin Powers (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Madison Yenser (Fort Wayne, Ind.) represented the Spartans at Trine University's Spring Classic. Power placed among the top 40, tying for 36th (193), while Yenser, rallying with a second round 96, ended in a tie for 42nd (200).
The Spartans host their annual spring invitationals Saturday, April 18. Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash is the host site.
