KENDALLVILLE, IND. – A 687 team score for Manchester University concluded as their two-day total at the University of St. Francis Fall Invitational Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3 and 4.
The Spartans placed ninth in a largely National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' field. Indiana Wesleyan University emerged from a logjam at the top of the standings, carding a 36-hole 613 for top honors. Bethel College was just three shots back (616) with Spring Arbor lurking in third (618).
MU was guided by senior Quinton Flora. Resuming his solid fall campaign, he placed within the individual top 40 (163 – tied for 33rd). Fellow seniors Michael Rutledge (Granger, Ind.) and Dylan Padgett (Kirklin, Ind.) were among the top 50, as Rutledge's 169 was good for 47th, and Padgett's 171 placed him in a tie for 49th.
Manchester University breaks from competition until October 27 and 28 when they travel to Rio Grande, Puerto Rico for the University of Illinois – Springfield Island Getaway.
