NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. - Manchester University head men's basketball coach Gerad Good announced Monday, July 16, that Tommy Freeman is joining the Spartans' staff.
Freeman's coaching background includes a graduate assistant position at Ohio University of Athens, Ohio, his alma mater, from 2016-18 in which the Bobcats registered a runner-up Mid-American Conference runner-up during the 2016-17 season. He also served as a Pro Shot coach from 2013-16, where he traveled around the United States conducting shooting instruction camps and was a volunteer assistant boys coach at Alexander, Ohio High School during the 2015-16 academic year.
His basketball resume doesn't end there. Freeman also starred as a player for the Bobcats scoring more than 1,000 points and holding the program's record for made three-point baskets and three-point field goal accuracy as part of a career in which he also played on three overseas professional teams in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Scotland.
