They are just a game out of seventh behind Anderson and two back of a fifth-place tie between Franklin and Transylvania … Sophomore guard Brady Dolezal (Tipton, Ind.) continued his sparkling recent run of play against Franklin. The reigning HCAC Player of the Week proved the recent award with 28 points on eight-of-13 shooting from the field and a strong 11-of-13 effort from the charity stripe. He also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out two assists as part of a night in which he extended his double-figure scoring streak to six straight games with his third successive 20-points-or-more outing. Dolezal's 11 made free throws marked the second time this year he's converted double digits at the charity stripe … Sophomore forward Matt Brown (Hobart, Ind.) had a strong outing as well against the Grizzlies. He tallied a single-game career high 16 points which included a seven-of-eight effort from the free throw line. Brown's season free throw percentage remains ethereal at 93.3 percent (28 of 30) … The Black and Gold were in the top 70 of three statistical categories on the recent NCAA Division III report for games played through Jan. 26. A No. 34 ranking in fewest personal fouls committed per game (16.3) highlighted the set, while their 73.3 percent free throw conversion rate was 55th, and their 277 total fouls ranked No. 67 in least whistled … Transylvania took a nailbiter in the season series opener, winning 67-63 in Lexington. Manchester University has won six of the last 10 in the overall annals.
