NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The 2019 Manchester University football team will play six of its 10 games this fall at Carl W. Burt Memorial Stadium.
Manchester University will open the 2019 campaign with a pair of home contests. The Spartans will take on familiar foe Trine University in the season opener set for Thursday September 5 at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday September 14, MU will host the Alma College Scots at 6 p.m.
Manchester will travel to Defiance for its first road game of the 2019 season. Kickoff against the Yellow Jackets is set for Thursday September 19 at 7 p.m.
The Spartans will then return home on Saturday September 28 to host Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in their HCAC opener. Kickoff will be at 1:30 p.m.
After a bye week to begin the month of October, the Spartans will host the Lions of Mount St. Joseph at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday October 12. That matchup will also serve as homecoming on Manchester University's campus. The Spartans will then be on the road the remainder of the month, traveling to Franklin College on October 19 and to Hanover College on October 26.
In the month of November, Manchester will play two of its final three contests at home. MU will host Bluffton University on Saturday November 2 at 1:30 p.m. at Carl W. Burt Memorial Stadium. A second matchup with the Defiance College Yellow Jackets is scheduled for November 9 at 1:30 p.m. in Ohio. Manchester University will round out the 2019 calendar with a home bout against rival Anderson University on November 16 at 1:30 p.m. The Spartans have won the Bronze Ball Game against the Ravens eight consecutive years running.
A season ago, Manchester finished 4-6, 4-4 HCAC.
The 2019 HCAC champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Playoffs, which begin on Nov. 23.
