The junior duo of center fielder Kyle Norris (Indianapolis, Ind.) and shortstop Trevor Kimm (Anderson, Ind.) both received all-Mideast Region awards this week. They were each named to D3Baseball.com's third team, while Kimm was also placed on the American Baseball Coaches Association's second team.
Norris, adding the all-region honor to a first all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference award, hit .355 with a program-best 60 hits and three triples to go with a team-high 21 steals. Kimm, previously named the HCAC's Player of the Year, hit .347 with 59 hits, nine home runs, 44 RBIs and a .571 slugging percentage. The two-time all-region selection's home run, RBI and slugging percentage marks led MU as did his 144 defensive assists.
