Manchester University offers skills instruction to various age groups in men's basketball, football, and men's soccer during June and July.
The annual basketball summer camp is scheduled for June 11-13 and is open to boys in grades two through eight. It runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day inside Stauffer-Wolfe Arena and the Physical Education and Recreation Center on MU's campus in North Manchester. MU's football program welcomes high school teams and players to its Big Man Camp/Seven-on-Seven Passing Jamboree Saturday, July 14. Check-in is set for 9:30 a.m. with the camp and jamboree getting underway at 10 a.m. at Burt Field, the home of the Spartans, and adjoining practice fields. The Spartans men's soccer program features a team camp July 18-20 and a prospect camp Saturday, July 21, while the men's and women's programs are hosting a kids camp August 6-8. The team event is open to boys' club and high school squads with the prospect opportunity open to rising sophomore, junior and senior high school boys, and the kids camp is available for boys and girls ages kindergarten through eighth grade. Team camp begins at 9 a.m. the first day and 7 a.m. the following two dates with breakfast followed by training sessions and games pending the schedule; prospect camp gets going at 9:30 a.m.; and the kids camp goes from 9-11 a.m. for kindergarten through fourth graders and 1-3 p.m. for fifth through eighth graders each day.
