Manchester University M Association Hall of Famer Burt Paddock '97 was recognized on the 2018 men's basketball Silver Anniversary team by the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Wednesday, March 21.

The Alexandria, Ind., native and 2017 M Association Claude Wolfe Coach of the Year selection was one of 18 individuals noted for outstanding accomplishments as a senior high school basketball player 25 years ago. The team included 12 members named to the 1993 Indiana All-Star squad, while six other all-state players were added to recognize the top of Indiana's high school class the same year.

Paddock's playing days' resume was remarkable. He averaged 27.3 points as a senior for the Alexandria High School 18-3 Central Indiana Conference champions, graduating with 1,258 points in three seasons (career 21.7 ppg average) while his prep career saw him play on three squads that finished a combined 46-17 with three conference titles. His run continued for MU, as he was a four-year starter for the Spartans. He stands second in program history with 1,917 career points in 109 career games. Paddock averaged 18.9 ppg as a sophomore for the 31-1 1995 NCAA Division III national runners-up and then added averages of 21.5 ppg as junior and 18.0 ppg as a senior. His collegiate awards include 1994 Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, four first team all-league accolades, two NCAA All-Region honors and registering the second highest single-game point total in school history (51) as part of teams that produced a spectacular 93-23 record.
