Sophomore setter Mikayla Munn (Elkhart, Ind.) added 25 assists, while senior defensive specialist Makenna Hamilton (Medaryville, Ind.) dug up 13 MSJ attack attempts as part of MU's totals.

The Spartans, despite dropping to 4-15 overall and 0-4 in the conference, took the Lions to 27-25 scores in each of the first two sets. MSJ managed to end the match with a 25-19 win in set three.

The Black and Gold continue conference play Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Defiance College of Ohio.
