Rowe All-American award caps off sparkling 2015 campaign

Senior Bridgette Rowe (La Quinta, Calif.) added a 12th NCAA Division III All-American award to the Manchester University women's track and field annals Saturday, May 22.

Rowe, tallying 2.5 points for the Spartans at the 2015 national championships hosted by St. Lawrence University, cleared five feet, five and a quarter inches in the high jump to tie for sixth in the 22-jumper field. Her spot on the podium signified a combined third indoor and outdoor All-American award in her collegiate career, making Rowe the first to gain three NCAA A-A awards; just the second in program history to earn that number of total honors, joining three-time National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' marathon All-American Penny Rosdil (1983-85); and the first multi-time All-American for MU since 1992 (Amy Peterseim).

Sophomore distance runner Mariah Jordan (Fort Wayne, Ind.) added to the Black and Gold's weekend resume at SLU's Merrick-Pinkard Track and Field Complex with a top 10 finish in the 10,000 meters May 21. Her time of 36:39.58 nudged UW-La Crosse's Lauren Mead for the final top 10 slot and improved her pre-championships listing by 12 spots.
