Manchester University placed three individuals on the 2013-14 all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball honor squads, released Wednesday, March 5.
Senior forward Erynn Meiklejohn (Fort Wayne, Ind.) culminated a sparkling four-year slate with the Spartans by recording second time accolades. Her second straight second team honor marked her fourth year of conference postseason recognition to go with an honorable mention selection (2011-12) and an all-freshman team award (2010-11). Meiklejohn led the Black and Gold to a fourth-place league finish and a conference tournament semifinal round berth averaging a team-best 11.4 points per game and blocking a team-high 32 opponent shot attempts while grabbing 4.3 rebounds per contest.
Junior guard Jocelyn Hamilton (Columbus, Ind.) was an honorable mention selection. Hamilton, the conference assists' leader (5.4 pg), set a new program single-season standard in the statistical category, too (147). The Spartans' third HCAC mention went to junior center Alyssa Hammond (Osgood, Ind.) who was named to the all-sportsmanship squad.
