Hanover subdues Black and Gold

NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Victories from senior Kyler Love (North Webster, Ind.) and the doubles pairing of seniors Isaac Collis (Alexandria, Ind.) and Spencer Thomas (Yorktown, Ind.) guided Manchester University in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference dual action Saturday, April 21.

Love, continuing his stay as singles' wins leader, moved to 5-4 on the season with a straight-set 6-4, 6-1 decision over Hanover College's Jonathan Helmers. Collins and Thomas claimed a thriller from Helmers and Mitchell Minniear at number one doubles, winning 8-6. From that point at MU's outdoor courts, the Panthers were up to the task turning in straight-set triumphs in the remaining five singles matches and registering victories at number two and three doubles for a 7-2 team outcome.

MU (2-7 overall, 2-3 HCAC) concludes its 2018 spring home schedule Thursday, April 26, with Mt. St. Joseph University's visit to North Manchester. First serve is 4 p.m.
