Going into a game at West Virginia July 10, he had appeared in 23 games with 14 hits, seven runs scored and a .212 batting average. The Anderson, Ind., native had shown some power in the span, too, with three doubles and a home run among his 14 safeties which helped him accumulate five RBIs.
Champion City sported a 14-19 mark through 33 games. They stood fourth in the PL's East Division standings as of July 9.
