Spartans recognized by USTFCCCA

NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. – Three individuals and the women's team represented Manchester University on the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's Division III all-academic honors, released Friday, Feb. 9.

Senior men's student-athlete Blake Harris (Fort Wayne, Ind.), junior women's student-athlete Samina Qureshi (Columbia City, Ind.) and sophomore women's student-athlete Emily Ewen (Walcott, Ind.) were individual honorees. To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and finish in the top 25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.

MU's women were among 221 programs recognized as all-academic. For a team to be considered for this distinction, it must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA regional meet along with having a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale.
